About Dr. Gamboa
Jacqueline Gamboa, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She received her B.A. in Psychology from La Sierra University and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. Dr. Gamboa has extensive experience working with infants, children, adolescents, and families in private practice and through her doctoral training at the following agencies:
Dr. Gamboa's doctoral dissertation research focused on the relationship or attachment between mothers and their children with Williams Syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder. The study highlighted some of the rewards and challenges associated with parenting a child with a developmental disability. Dr. Gamboa presented her research at the 118th Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association and the San Diego Psychological Association's 2009 Fall Conference.
